I know the feeling, me i don tire. I just want to see a completed Ara. This should be my Nigerian military highlight for 2017. I mean we are already in July.

I'm glad the army is receiving 177 armoured vehicles, if not the first half of 2017 would have been a total disaster.

The Terminator is an impressive piece of equipment. I remember watching a video of the vehicle letting it's 30mm cannons loose............... Damn, it was impressive!

Syria is a complete and utter mess. All the world powers and Regional powers have had a fill testing out weapons.

What do you think of the recent Proforce LAV photo i posted?

I was comparing it with the Israeli vehicle used by the Senegalese in Mali, and many other African countries. To be frank, it compares very favourably.

In my opinion, the Nigerian army should buy it for Quick Response Forces.

As well as the armour package for the vehicle, the tyres if we look closely are also military grade mud and snow tyres with run-flat insert.

This is significantly much better than the Honkers which were procured from Poland. However, there are areas where the Honker has advantages.

- Situational awareness
- Ease of egress and regress

Keeping the armour in some areas, we could have redesigned the vehicle and come up with a design like this.

The Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Army are not the same thing.

First think before you make a comment or quote my post.

It is clearly stated to be used for base security. Nothing small or random here, it is well straight forward.

You, making a random comment is the only thing random here.

1. Yes, they arent the same thing. But they are run by the same umbrella organization, and thus, are able to transfer assets between them.

2. The purchase of two vehicles is, factually, small. The purchase of Toyota's when Honkers have been selected is, objectively, random.

Why do you allways try to start fights? Is civil discussion beyond you?

You need to be better.

You are a nitwit with no common sense who has simply refused to use his brains to think.

The Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Army are two different organisations, with two different budgets. The Nigerian Air Force is responsible for the security of it's bases, it is in no way or form the responsibility of the Nigerian Army.

There is no evidence to support that those are the only vehicles procured by the Nigerian Air Force, this is just another example of your penchant for the display of gross idiocy in the pages of this thread.

The purchase of the vehicles from a Nigerian company is inline with the overall direction which the military is pursing. Baseline Hilux vehicles have always been used for base security, the purchase of the Honker does not negate this fact.

Don't spew random ignorant comments in this thread, especially in posts related to Nigeria.

1. It is impossible for the Nigerian Army to transfer assets which it has deemed to be unsuitable for combat operations to another branch?

2. The only evidence available suggests exactly that - two vehicles.

3. If the Hilux is the baseline, why buy Honkers?

Dont get vitriolic and insulting, learn to talk to people. Be better.
