I recently watched a video tutorial where the guy opened his browser and typed www.google.com. Lo and behold, the page appeared immediately, I mean, the page didn't load from top to bottom, it just appeared immediately out of nowhere. He entered a search query and the same thing happened IMMEDIATELY!

About two days ago, mark otto ( @mdo ), a designer at github and the creator of bootstrap tweeted a pic of GitHub's new office wifi and wired internet connection (see pic below). I was amazed!
I was chatting with a friend from malaysia and he told me the average download speed is 640kbps (kilobytes per second). I told him mine also and he was like, How will people live with such speed? Why can't the government do something to increase the speed? (I was just laughing in my mind).

I have witnessed some terrible download speeds thanks to a particular network.

On a good Day 430kbps but average na 40kbps

average: 40-50kb/s
at night/when network is good: tops 200kb/s(reason why I sleep so late )

Which day I go be first to comment?

I use Internet download manager and the speed is high.

i think the op was asking the normal download speed and not the enhanced speed by some download manager

70-150kb on Swift multi user modem.
600kb to 2 mbps on my swift single user modem.
200 to 1mbps on my single user modem (airtel modem)

Usin my mobile, highest download speed is 300kb/sec, etisalat. World's fastest wifi reaches 40gb/sec
