Two female corp members serving in Community Secondary school, Iddo, Asari-Toru LGA in Rivers State were severely burnt by one of the victim’s boyfriend.

This incident happened on the 19th of July 2013.

Amarachi Okey Winifred, one of the victims whose boyfriend committed the act, is a batch C corp member while her yet to be identified friend is a fresh batch B corp member who just reported to her PPA from camp,barely weeks before the incident.

At first, it was believed that boys and students from Winnie’s PPA ( Community Secondary school, Iddo) perpetrated the crime. The story however took a twist when it turned out that Winnie’s boyfriend burnt her to death because he assumed she was cheating on him with her fellow corp member and housemate.

A corper who stayed in the same hostel with Winnie related the events thus:
