Hello nlanders.av been using my mazda6 for about 15 months now, and its been serving me well, but there is this issue of the car going off(fan still rolling and all other things like AC, sound system and all other thing is still on) whenever I decelerate, like apply brakes to climb bumps or to stop for any reason, it doesn't occur all the time, infact, its not predictable but it occurs quite often this days.. Pls what could be the problem, told my mechanic , he said its either fuel filter issue or electrical problem.
And anytime it does dt, I put it on n it starts imediately,no hassle. @ sienna, @ ikenna @ everybody pls help

My Mazda Millenia 02 model behave this way sometimes ago and after research on mazda forum, i found out that it was the air filter that was plug so have to change it. If you change the air filter, you also have to simultanously service you plugs or change them to original one.

I had similar experience sometimes ago and wen I took it to my mechanic, he said d timing belt has been changed b4 I bought d car and it wasn't set well by those who replaced. He had to remove d timing belt and reset it. Since then, I hav been enjoying d car wit AC... Maybe u shuld ask ur Mechanic to check d timing belt

You wont find any codes.
Have the throttle body removed, sprayed and cleaned with carb cleaner.
Also clean the MAF while you are at it.
Re-install and try it out.

Is your check egine light on, if yes go for a scan. But with this issue your car needs complete tune up. Doubt if you would get a fault code in it
