ASUU STRIKE: An Open Letter To President Jonathan. by Adehwale: 8:45am On Aug 12, 2013
REASONS MR PRESIDENT SHOULD ENSURE THE QUICK BACK TO CLASS OF OUR
YOUTHS THAT ARE PRESENTLY DISENGAGED DUE TO THEON GOING ASSU STRIKE
ACTION
Dear Sir,
With due respect to your Excellency, I have the mandate to write on
behalf of all stake holders inthe educational sector on theneed to
take a driver seat come Tuesday meeting with ASUU NEC, address the
negotiation table like a nobleman and indeed negotiate like a gentle
man.
Sir, it should be recalled from memory that the current strike embarked
on by the ASUU, marks 5weeks 4days, and all effort embarked on by your
Excellency to set a pace for a lasting resolution with the ASUU NEC
proved abortive.
Mr. president, it is high time we told you that the concern youth
whenever education is mentioned are supposed Nigeria future, it is
hereby worthy to mention that for this administration to be recorded on
the positive side of posterity, the need to guarantee the future of
these youths most be ensured.
Dear Sir, as the popular saying goes; "an idle hand isthe devil's
workshop" for this reason it should be noted that95% our youths that
are presently disengaged from classroom activities because of the
present ongoing strike action of the ASUU are joblessand therefore
spend their days as idle youths. In the interest of the peaceful and
crime free society sir, in the interest of Nigerian future, weplea
that your administration should take immediate measure at ensuring the
quickre-engagement of this youths as to avert the illuming danger
their continuous stay out of class can cause.
We still so much count on you sir, and fixedly we hold onto your
riches of kindness and passion for education, forthwith your
Excellency should drag to reminder his past status as a lecturer, many
beauties God has decorated his life with within this short period and
also his beautiful promises while canvassing for the post of
presidency and revisit them.
Finally sir, we know how much love you have for yourdear country, and
I'm on the side that your Excellency will invest all he can to set the
ball rolling in the academic sector, for this reasons sir, I humbly
apply that come Tuesday 13th August, 2013, your Excellency should
intensify more effort, brake the gene for incessant strike action in
the educational sector, hear the stakeholder out once and for all and
bring back to class our idle youths.
MUCH THANKS IN ANTICIPATION SIR.

Abeg go and sit on a transformer !

Why don't you square it up by also writing an open letter to ASUU?

ASUU is forming stubborn, they are the ones that have made the strike linger on.

They probably do not know the meaning of negotiations as they are ranting not to back down on any of their demands.

Our able president has even been very considerate, very willing to negotiate on the terms that his administration did not sign.

Thesame ASUU that we organized 'read on road' for in 2009?

They should just fold jhor.

If not for a few of my friends whose final results verification are hanging due to the strike, I'd have prayed the strike to linger on.

ASUU can do better than anonymously writing 'open letters'

all hail the all knowing sparkles.
You people always want to rope the president into every ugly situation and take advantage of his 2015 dream.

Lecturers have not Stopped taking advantage of students now they want to extend that to the presidency?
It is ASUU that is jeopardizing the educational sector, not the federal government

ASUU better call it off and free my friends

The way you people reason baffles me and shows me how small minded you people are. ASUU had an agreement with FG in 2009, to be implemented in phases each year starting from 2010. Now. 4 years have passed and FG failed to implement it and instead of you to face the govt you are facing ASUU for standing up against failure in keeping to agreement which has been the culture of Nigeria government. Ok. If what FG has done to ASUU is good to you, may you be treated same way when you have an agreement with people/organizations. Amen.
