Just like Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria...Egypt will never be the same again!

Egytians wanted a corrupt Mubarak out of seat at all cost. They didn't care who and how they were going to use to oust Muba...even if it means employing the services of Talibans.
Unfortunately, there was already a deadly and willing agent lurking around the corner: the Muslim brothers.

The rest became history.

Revolution is always a bad idea in 21 century. Revolution is so 1970s. No nation has succeed in revolting to success, instead 21st Century revolution sends the country 50 yrs backward in infrastructures.

Egypt may never recover from this discombobulating political quagmire.

1 shortblackboy: how will civil unrest benefit us ? take a look at all the so called arab spring countries they are still wallowing in anarchy till now. violence only begats violence. if u want change let it be constitutional go to the polls and vote the right people and don't let tribal and religious sentiment influence ur decision... I don talk

Forget all those crying about Nigerians not been as brave as the Egyptians. In fact, it is my desire that Nigerians never become like the Egyptians. When most people here were cheering the courage of the coupist and their civilian supporters they failed to understand the implication of illegally removing a democratic government; and that courage is an asset but could also become a liability when deployed in the wrong direction. Today, the Muslim Brotherhood in the name of courage, have allowed their supporters to be needlessly slaughtered, when they could have simply got to work to put together a more purposeful opposition movement.

By the way isn't all these getting confusing already? Imagine in Egypt the International community cheered the Egyptians on to remove a radical Islamist government from power, while in Syria they are now cheering and supporting Radical Islamist organizations to remove a secular government. The truth with all these is, anarchy helps no one. If you have ever physically witnessed a communal or religious riot up close, then you should have a faint idea of what all these "we no go gree, we no go gree" can cause. With the current crisis, the Egyptians have regressed by at least 5years rather than progressed.

Is this the kind of crisis we want to find ourselves in? By the way what would we even be protesting about? Bad Leaders? How can we complain about bad leaders when even on this small forum it is impossible for people to see through Tribal and religious sentiments to objectively pass their points across? When even the simplest of thread topics like "Man bites snake" is enough to start five pages of tribal war on Nairaland.

In as much as I don't support violence, but should the pro-morsy group be allowed to sit-in forever?
And what did the pro-morsy muslim brotherhood do first after being evicted from the streets that they have made home? To go and start burning churches and killing christains. SMH

misterh: Warned by who? An illegitimate govt. No matter the situation, a coup is still a coup, and it's illegal. I don't even have problems with them. My grouse is with the high-handness that the protesters have been subjected to.
Hey mister I'll urge U̶̲̥̅̊ not to be blinded by whatever the western media(CNN and Aljazeera) might be saying. Egyptian military is quite different from what we have in Nigeria. Egyptian military are loved and respected by the people. Infact they so much repose a lot of confidence in them that they consider them the custodian of Egyptian politics. Fine the people actually elected Mosi into power but they later realised that they've made a mistake based on these reasons:
1. Morsi passed a decree aloting absolute power to himself; thus any decision taken by him cannot be questioned or reversed. Thus portraying himself as a potential dictator even far worse than Mubarak.
2. He excluded other stakeholders from participating in the administration of the government
3. He was seen as been more committed to party interest above national interest
4. Decent into radicalism and sectarianism which was already dividing the country down to Egyptian family units which actually portends grave danger to the future and existence of the country. Remember Egypt is a secular state and not an Islamic state like Iran or Pakistan.
5. No significant improvement in the economy. Infact things were getting worse; thus Morsi was seen as grossly incompetent as President.
6. Reduction in tourism which was one of Egypt's mainstay. And this was due to collapse in security as a result of the Islamic agenda of Morsi and attack on Coptic christians.
7. Muslim Brotherhood was seen to have a far more greater ambition beyond the presidency. Agenda of establishing the radical form of Islam which is not in tandem with what the Egyptian people stand for.
8. General loss of confidence in Morsi and his party "MB" which was seen as not representing the interest of Egypt. Rather they were seen as "TERRORISTS"
Now U̶̲̥̅̊ talk about democracy; d power of democracy lies with the people and if people lose confidence in whomever they might hv elected to represent them; they can retrieve the power from him. That's d beauty of democracy and what has happened in Egypt is still within the context of democracy. Egyptians had lost confidence in Morsi and his party; he was told to stepdown but he refused thus they called on the military which has a lot of support from the people to come and save the situation. The MB whether U̶̲̥̅̊ like it or not is a terrorist organisation. So far several ammunitions have been recovered from their protest ground, more than 16churches hv been burnt; about 49 security officer have been killed, atleast one Egyptian general has been murdered by dis so called "Peaceful Demonstrators". Even if Egyptians want democracy not under MB. They are basically Terrorist who must be flushed out by all means necessary!!!

They made a mistake huh? And thats why the Army can now eject the president because a batch of egyptians realised they made a mistake?...and then Morsi's supporters should all be tagged as terrorist and eliminated huh?

You know what maybe we should do that in Nigeria.
Jonathan was and is still a Mistake so lets have the Military boot him out and eliminate all supporters of his Retarded and Corrupt administration of incompetancy thats not improving the economy or the lives of any common man.

And i wont even bother to say anything about the crap you posted at the end.

What is happening is clear signs of end time.
The Arab spring started because some group of people were tired of being blindfolded by religion and sentiments.

If the campers were really armed then its a pity. The Egyptians like the Syrians refuse to learn from the Iraq situation. The only restraint from total anarchy is the military. Revolution never solves anything if power is to be transferred back to the same corrupt band of thieves called politicians.
