it all depends. if they both have the same specs then i would go for hp. if the gateway specs are higher or more advanced then go for gateway. also consider the availability of compactible parts for each one.

i have used a gateway notebook before and i can confirm that , it rocks , i totally enjoyed , i cant quite remember the name now , but i got it new and then sold it to a guy here in nairaland , the dude still thank me to this very day

how else can people with no skills make money, if not by selling obsolete hardware/freeware at hefty markups? ( and people wonder why nigeria is backward. . in the mid 90s, chinosxl would have been 'selling ' yahoomail inboxes, and charging for 'monthly rent' on the same)

anyone who has 90grand and wants to buy a laptop is better off contacting brume2020. you can get a hp/compaq, 1gb ram, 1.7+ ghz core duo, 80gb hdd, widescreen , vista home premium for less than n90000; i should know- i got one for my old man off ebay last year for about 60-65000 - and it came with a free printer.

anyone who wants to buy a laptop should check the price (in $ ) on ebay or amazon - you'll find that 90% of these pricks selling laptops are nothing more than rip off artistes, especially when you realize that you don't gety anything for all that extra cost - no warranty, after sales service, nothing.

a frined wanted to buy an acer the other day. at 127,000 or therabouts. i walked her through ebay, and what do you know- the ame thing was 58,000 afer converting. i gave her brume 2020's contact details. ( of course he has to make his profit, but i don't expect anything near the rip off of a seven year old pentium IV laptop for 90000 -
