After rejecting an offer to join Monaco this summer, and starting the 1st 2matches of la liga 2013/2014 season, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says Diego Lopez is currently his first choice goalkeeper ahead of Iker Casillas.

The Spain No.1 was discarded by Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu last season and though many expected him to reclaim his starting berth under Ancelotti this term, the Italian has so far opted to stick with Lopez - a decision he was happy to stand by after the match.

He told reporters after the game: "Diego Lopez played the first game and now he has played the second game.

"He is playing well at the moment. There is nothing more. The pressure is fuel to me (regarding the focus on the decision)."

So now that Iker Casillas is 2nd choice @ Real Madrid, do u think he'll happily sit on d bench for the entire season or he'll leave Real Madrid in search of regular playing time considering the world cup in Brazil is next summer?

After Lopez was brought back during the January transfer window, I knew Casillas was gonna find it hard gaining his starting shirt again cos Lopez is faster than him, taller than casillas with a gd arial presence, a commander of his 18yard box especially in dead ball situations, although they are both great short stoppers. Casillas weakest points are his poor positioning in dead ball situations, he's almost a statue during corner kicks, poorly commands his 18yard box, and he's shorter
