I am shocked that some ppu are still ignorant of the fact that Jesus and his disciples never paid tithe and did not collect any tithe from worshippers back then.
Tithe was paid by the Israelites back then for a specific purpose stipulated by God.
When Christ came, he established a new covenant which abolished all sorts of traditions such as animal sacrifice and tithe.
Christians are under the new covenant which states that we should contribute whatever we can willingly contribute. Pls read

If these churches had their way they will treat tithe like tax and if you didnt pay theyd send you to prison with a mark on your forehead to identify you to the rest of public as a tithe defaulter. They will humiliate you the worst way to force your recompense and get their money out of you. They might even foreclose your property to exact their dues. I blame people who attend these Churches and enable their audacity to put people name up on a board for debt to Church.
