-Man of the people: Pope bows for Muslim Queen Rania of Jordan in breach of protocol

-Bowed to the royal following private audience with her and her husband

-Comes after he posed for a selfie with teenage pilgrims in St Peter's Basilica

-Pope Francis is already closing in on three million 


The Pope has once again shown his willingness to break with tradition by bowing to Muslim royal Queen Rania of Jordan.

As leader of the world's 1.2billion-strong Catholic community, protocol usually dictates that visitors bow to him when they meet him at the Vatican.

But when Rania came to the Holy See with her husband King Abdullah II on Thursday, he inverted that formality by lowering his head to her.

though am not a christian, but i dont fink he bow for her, what i observed is: SHE IS TALLER THAN HIM.....chikenan!!

What a disgrace.just imagining the glorious days of the palpacy when kings who visit the vatican are stripped of all their elaborate clothing and made to wear a pilgrims cloak. That almighty king when presented to the holy father in the sixtin chapel falls to his feet and kiss the pope's red shoes. Pope francis's oversimplicity is degrading the palpacy.

It's nothing

For a beauty of that magnitude ,
I will not only bow but lie parallel on the ground.

but on a more serious note, the story may not be as the picture depicts...since The Pope bends down to wash the legs of prisoners; this shouldn't be a big deal after all we were told that " the greatest among u should be ur servant"
