Please I bought a domain and host but am finding it difficult to install Phpbb on the index

How are you going about it and what error are you getting?

I also find it strange that you would go for PHPBB ahead of SMF that has more support.

I can't install in on the index it will create another page and install it!

Not necessarily the best but the most widely used with much more support and ease of use. Though based on these variables, some people would say it's the best.

As far as installing PHPBB goes, are you using Fantastico or softaculous?

I'll recommend SMF cos it's tested and trusted and that's what i use.
