Looking For Freelance And Part-time Researchers, Writers And Journalists. by EasyWare(m): 1:58pm On Sep 03, 2013
We are looking for researchers and data inputters to collate data for our social justice web site "Justice Nigeria" (http://www.justice-ng.org/). In order to kick-start our services, we want to populate the web site with recent, known cases of rights abuses across the country.

Please visit the site, to see our various categories and sample entries. Most of the information that we want already exists on the internet, social media and traditional new media in Nigeria. All that we require in the initial stages are for researchers to collate this information, enter them onto our database and provide - where relevant - a clear summary of and the current status of the case.

In the initial stages of the work, all contact between us and the researches will be online. Researchers are expected to be responsible for their own equipment: computers, Internet connection etc. All researchers must have very good command of written and spoken English and relevant qualifications and/or experience.

The research job is only a part-time or freelance basis, not a full-time role. We expect that researcher will do the job in their spare time - one or two days a week. Those who contribute diligently will be retained for future work.

Journalists/Interviewers: we will require the services of journalists to locate and interview people involved in the cases that we feature on our web site. These roles will be live within a month, so please send your applications ASAP.

ARE YOU INTERESTED?:
Please contact us with any examples of any relevant previous work you have done. In the first instance, please contact us via freelance1@justice-ng.org OR http://www.justice-ng.org/helpdesk/

PAYMENT TERMS:
(a) Researchers: To start with, we will pay an initial fee of N12,500 per day. For those whose work we are impressed with we will retain and at more favourable rates.
(b) All Payment will be made directly into the researcher/journalist's bank accounts. At the moment, we are unable to pay by cash.
(c) Interviewers: payment details to be confirmed when these roles go live.
