Please, I couldn't find a thread on Nairaland where school administrators discuss, so I'll like to ask this question here.

For a teaching job, z t better to employ a B.SC graduate instead of B.Ed, NCE n CO?

I'm asking without bias please, but I've noticed, probably just in my area sha, that most of those that apply n have d relevant educational certificates don't know what they r doing. From VERY poor command of d English language to poor or no understanding of d subject they want to teach.

If there r school administrators in d house, whts your take on that?

WAEC Coordination For May/June 2017

While WAEC marking is not an employment opportunity, and cannot even be quoted in the CV as a viable working experience but facilitates your chances of been employed by good schools, the advantages of
coordination and marking is stated below:

1. It puts some coins in the pocket. In about five (5)days of using your leisure to mark, you are guaranteed at least N10,000 which has been reviewed upwardly Can serve some purposes;

2. The informative content of the coordination is helpful for teachers. Helps you know the best way to prepare students for the examination. It also enriches the teacher’s research and lesson notes;

Please, invited or not, if you live near the state capital, check the marking venues used for coordination. Gate-crash (if not invited) and you may be fortunate to get a pack.

Gatecrashers are welcomed nationwide… Who they find something na im dey get the longest hand.
WAEC coordination starts:
16th June, 2017 for Chief Examiners and Team leaders!
17th June, 2017 for Examiners and Asst. Examiners.
Coordination ends 19th June, 2017
Time: 4:00pm

Gate crashers shud go to d venue wif dia relevant certificates (both original and photocopies) and mak sure attendances r taken for d 3dayz…
Distribution of parcels begin on 20th June, 2017 to all existing examiners and d lucky gate crashers
a hint though from my experience as a gatecrasher, ATTENDANCE at coordination classes is necessary like he pointed out (3 days). Normally, parcels are issued to those who attend the coordination classes, but Chief and Team leaders can be funny, by keeping parcels for invited examiners who do not attend the 3 days coordination. So, “shine your eyes”.

Note that some marking venues “MAY” issue out parcels to examiners on the 19th when they are done with the coordination for that day.
Documents for EXAMiNERS: They mark the scripts of students using a prepared marking guide.

Checkers: They cross check the marks awarded to the students and ensure they are properly totalled.

WHY SCHOOL RADIO CLUB?

Radio is a powerful mass medium used in
education for disseminating information,
imparting instruction and giving
entertainment.

School Radio should be an everyday part
education for hundreds of Primary and
Secondary Schools as it provides an exciting
and engaging medium for your students
to develop their communication skills,
build confidence and discuss the issues
that are important to them.

A School Radio club can become a
focal point for your school where students
can express their views in a safe,
unimposing environment which will
promote inclusion and school community.

What Your Students Will Gain From
School Radio
# Build confidence and self esteem.
# Improved speaking and listening
skills.
# Learn to write creative scripts and
copy.
# Conduct research into a range of
topics.
# Work as a team.
# Understand the value of
communication.

Plus There Are Many Benefits For The
School
# Improved inclusion for pupils and
staff providing a cross school
communications platform.
# Better engagement with your
students.
# Engage students that struggle with
more traditional forms of
demonstrated learning.
# Develop a school community.
# Showcase the talents of your pupils.

What Will You Need?
A school radio club need some
core equipment in order to run. This
includes:
Broadcast mixing desk.
Computer playout system (to play
music and record content).
Microphones.
Speakers & Headphones.
A 'mic live' light.
A very low power transmitter.
A radio receiver in each classroom.
A small space or radio lab.
This is where we come in. All of
our School Radio packages include all the
equipment you need to launch your school
radio
Club plus they all include onsite
installation, continuous training and support
to get your radio club up and running.

What About The Legal Stuff?
You will not need a
broadcast license to operate a school radio
club
, in fact the only time you need a
broadcast license is if you want to run a
commercial FM, AM or DAB radio station that
covers a large community or town. The school
radio club signal will not extend beyond the
wall of the school and will be strictly for
educational purpose only.

You can whatsapp (08114580183) us for more
information, to chat about this project or
request a demo.
