This question has been on my mind for some time now. On getting one's first job, it is believed by some people (especially the yoruba culture) that your first salary should go to your parents for them to bless you. On the other hand, when u get to church, we are told to "honour God with the first fruits of our increase"...this invariably means our first salary should go to the church and that it is a wayof letting God be involved in our career. Which belief should one adopt? |

My first salary will go to me! Cos I needed d pay dats y I seeked for d job at first! I will buy gifts for my peeps from it sha! Church? No! |

Abeg spend your money, you could decide to send some to your parents and serving God can also be with your body and not necessarily your salary. |

My first salary went to my parents.......when i was paid, i just ran home after work and showed them. They were proud i earned that much at just 16.....i didnt even remember church at all. |
