Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and owner Roman
Abramovic are reportedly set to clash over the
subject of Juan Mata.
Chelsea ended a nightmare week by going
top of the Premier League with a 2-0 victory
over Fulham.
But boss Mourinho is facing the first serious
flashpoint of his second coming at Stamford
Bridge because of his three amigos – Mata,
Fernando Torres and Cesar Azpilicueta. The
Spanish trio are close pals and all feel they
have been left out by Mourinho without the
chance to prove themselves.
Mata and Torres are both firm favourites of
owner Abramovich – and Sunday People
Sport can reveal that the Russian owner
showed unity with both men when he
visited the dressing-room after
Wednesday’s Champions League home
defeat by Basel.
Atletico Madrid are plotting a January loan
move for Mata – which Mourinho would
sanction if it brings Atletico midfielder
Oliver Torres closer to Stamford Bridge.
