Please can you kindly share your experience on Ford Windstar 2001-2003 SUV, cause am on the verge of disposing my sweet Honda Accord baby boy to add up some money to pick the above mentioned truck (I will call it). What the fuel economy like and any other useful info?

I push an 01 model. Strong reliable workhorse. Fast and balanced on the highway.
There're somethings u would want †̥σ consider though
1) rear axles cuts in two , usually under heavy load. I'∂ advice u †̥σ change Τђε rear axle †̥σ Τђε 1998 model year. Its stronger and doesn't cut.
Note I've changed mine twice before getting Τђε older model rear axle so its not negotiable if u wanna enjoy that truck Τђε axle costs 50-60k @ ladipo/ojuelegba auto markets
2) have Τђε front brake hoses changed too.. They tend †̥σ fail after 100k miles. Mine has failed once. Just change them and you're good †̥σ go. Cost about 1,000naira each

Its a good truck in summary, on full load u'∂ pick up speed effortlessly. Believe mε I've dusted a few good cars. ℓ☺ℓ.
Βε̲̣ carefull who u give it †̥σ service.

Neighbor says very reliable but consumes double the fuel that Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and its equivalents form Korea would consume.

Says if the cost of fuel is no object, go ahead, you will love the vehicle. Vehicle parts are not costly.

The fuel consumption is understandable, it runs a 3.8L engine instead of a 1.6L or 1.8L

You can always go buy the small push around and leave the big cars for the big boys.

@op, seriously why the face? Were u expecting such a van of that size to have the same mpg as a corolla or a civic? U know energy is required to drag that van and that means more fuel. That thing got a 3.8L engine. You better go get urself Nissan micra or Hyundai i10 if fuel economy is what u so care about.

It is a choice between power and economy.

For me, its power all the way.
