The Rivers state commisioner of police, Mr Mbu Joseph Mbu has suddenly become a servant of God. This morning, he critized Arch Bishop Kattey, quoting the scriptures and explaining to His Grace the qualities of a Bishop. He took his bible quotation from the book of second Timothy. U can recall that earlies this month, the Dean, church of Nigeria and Arch Bishop of Niger Delta province of the Anglican communion, most Rev ICO Kattey was kidnapped and was released eight days after his abduction. The bishop while narrating his ordeal in the hands of his abductors said the police made an effort, but couldnot rescue him. He said the kidnappers released him on their own that saturday night and gave him 200 naira for transportation. That was how he gained his freedom. The next day, the then police public relations officer, chinyere Agabe claimed on radio that the police were responsible for his release, but the CP, Joseph mbu apologized to d public for the wrong claim nd the false glory. To debunk the claim by the police, the Arch Bishop said in his statement that he set his eyes on the police two days after his release. Many would wonder why the Police comissioner would suddenly resurrect an old wound, slamming an axe on the man of God and referring him to the scriptures. One would wonder why a little. We all are aware of the political sentiments in Rivers state and expecting the CP to play his role as a police officer and tackle the security challenges in the state rather than making himself a politician and now a pastor.
