THE CONTENT OF AUTHENTIC WORSHIP

MEMORY VERSE: Exodus 34:14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

'Jealous' is an archaic word which means 'demanding exclusive loyalty'. WORSHIP on the other hand is an Anglo-Saxon word, which is written as worth-ship and which means giving God what He deserves. Singing is not worship, but a component of worship as a state capital doesn’t encompass the whole state but is a representation of the state.



Worship is showing God His true worth. Whatever dominates your thought is what controls your mind when you sleep.



Worship is my expression of reverence and adoration for God. Reverence means 'respect' while adoration means 'esteem' for God. The activities and opportunities you forgo in order to be in the presence of God is part of worship.



Part of the expression is kneeling down in church, raising of hands, learning a new song to praise Him, and spending more time in His presence.



Expression of our love for God is worship. You don’t have to be so eloquent in order to worship God. A worshipper is indispensable to God. What you appreciate, appreciates.

God doesn’t demand from you what He did not give you.



PRAYER: I receive grace to live a life that is addicted to Jesus.
