Typically in many Nigerian urban centers people hop into fast food eateries to enjoy specially made meals, the kind you find at parties. It is a favorite meeting point for people on dates even business meetings and other social gatherings. Here in Abuja we’ve taken time to assess the 5 most frequented eateries and critic them using; Service Delivery, Ambiance, Location, pricing and Menu.

Southern Fried Chicken

We respect this eatery for always being neat and having courteous staff. Their meals are well prepared and stylishly too. All their branches are spacious but they have a modest menu. Expect to find the usual suspects for pastries and a few continental dishes – jollof, fried rice but no local delicacies. Their meals are moderately priced. Our major problem with them is insufficient parking space for customers.

Chicken Republic

Wherever you find this franchise in Nigeria you’re always sure of one thing – cozy interior and ambiance and really tasty meals. Chicken republic has made a name for itself as a good alternative to many foreign brands in the fast food industry able to rub shoulders with them but we think their menu is a bit too stereotype.

Drumstix

Perhaps Abuja’s most popular eatery judging by the crowds that throng all their branches whether it’s Gwarinpa, Asokoro, Garki 2 or Wuse 2 they have a rich assortment of snacks and confectioneries but not much in terms of local delicacies. We however respect their Shawarma, ice cream and Suya really tasty. Parking space may be sufficient or not depending on branch.

Kilimanjaro

They enjoy quite a lot of patronage from many Abuja residents and for good reasons. Their meals are very tasty hardly a fault to find in any of them except their meat pies. They offer competitive prices for meals and the ambiance is a bit casual but not bad. Parking space is never a problem for them as you’ll always have somewhere to park – you’ll always find them within major shopping malls like the 911 and Ceddi plaza.

Chicken Capitol

But for their convenience which is unkempt and their not so tasty local delicacies, Chicken Capitol should be a leading Abuja Fast Food eatery. But they have great shawarma and chicken and their ambiance is just okay.
