Do COURSE of study Really count In Nigeria these days? by 2nioshine(m): 11:02pm On Oct 12, 2013
When i graduated from sec sch.i told a close friend of mine of my desire to work in an oil firm,he was already in his 3rd year @ the university then studying Geology.nd he encouraged me 2 go for same since itz only 4yrs compared 2 others like engrn(5yrs) ..
I felt he couldnt get a good placement in an oil firm.coz thats nt his area of specializatn.so i opted 4 chem engrn..now he is a graduate nd even an operation manager in a renown oil industry while i sti battle wt my engrn nd our inconsistent enducational system(ASUU STRIKE)....
This trend az been on in naija 4 some tym now..av even seen graduate of histo ry and linguistic now heading banks, well services etc......now the big question is do course of study really count....if it doesnt why go 4 those that r time consuming??
Why apply for a change of course aft some yrs already spent.
