You are interesting in tweaking an app in your system; you know how to do it and you plunge right to it. Somewhere in the operation you are required to put your system in safe mode…maybe you’ve never heard of it (are you geek or not?). It becomes a head scratching and ceiling starring session, you are stuck. Scratch and stare no more. Here is how to.
• WINDOWS 7 Keep on pressing F8 while system reboots

• WINDOWS 8 Type msconfig in search and select safe mode, apply, ok and restart. When exit from safe mode type msconfig in search and unselect safe mode, apply and restart.

For Mac os, it is called safe Boot and here is how to get there.
• Press and hold the shift key immediately after the mac starts up. Continue holding down the Shift Key until a grey Apple logo appears on the screen.
For those who are not so tech inclined but own a pc, it pays to know some basic technicalities involved in your devices. Safe mode whether on Windows or Mac operating system starts the system with a limited number of files and drivers. Start-up program does not come up in safe mode and only the basic drivers needed to start windows are installed. Safe mode is used for troubleshooting with programs and drivers that might not start correctly, or that might prevent windows from starting correctly.
