I think De slots may be part of jamb's slots, i think they said ten or thereabout. I'm not really sure.

Maybe a lot of people in ur locality did ppt. In pd, i can say that 80% of predites going for medicine did cbt and the scores i heard ranged from 250 to 280, no kidding.
Da CBT scores I av been coming across av been btw 250-260, plus In UNN da highest ume score for med was 273, so I tink 280 ppt or cbt dis year is rare. Did u write cbt or ppt?

Chiamaka01:

Well, i think that it won't be less than 265 because of the high jamb and putme scores of predites who did putme. Also, only 65 slots are reserved for med/surg aspirants who want to get in through jamb, so...
you r quite wrong..the max slot for pd is 10 and since most predites didnt really do well in the 2nd contact then they will just pick like 5 and atleast 90 through jamb.
Also i have only seen one person going for mbbs with 300 in pj.so i am sure the cutoff will not be more than 265

chi the utme was bad generally.imagine unilorin slashing the cutoff for medicine to 215.and even if the predites did so well.they will automatically fill in the spaces assigned to pd since the brightest aspirants will also have the highest pd scores.whats your aggregate and are you aspiring for medicine?and the predites that i know the highest mbbs aspirant amongst them had 271 in putme

We were told on our career day by the admissions officer that 35 predites would be given medicine, are u also a predite?
Re: The Obafemi Awolowo University Admission Thread For 2014/2015 Academic Session. by Nobody: 5:57pm On Aug 29, 2014
@leqsy, If a med/surg aspirant passes the pd and jamb/pjamb cutoff, the person would be admitted through jamb and his pd slot given to another. Oau gives preference to pdites because of the high tuition fees, i guess. Again, it was on career day.

Chiamaka is right. Only one with 300? A guy in my department had 323 in post-ume,another had 316,both going for Medicine. The JAMB scores might be low,but post-ume is a real booster! ...and ehrr..the max slot for MBBS in PD is not 10,it's about 20 or so..

lool..i have been following the mbbs admission since 2010..last year only 6 predites were admitted to medicine..they lie! Thats something we all must know.my source is prof. Fatusi the provost of the college.so trust me when i tell u that the max number of predites that can be admitted to mbbs is 10!and they dont care about giving predites mbbs.they just make sure you are admitted

bro if you know anyone in mbbs ask them that how many predites are there in their class and you'll be shocked.i bet they'll be able to count them also i heard that about 16 mbbs candidiates had 300+..i am an aspirant although i am not saying the cutoff will be low .(thats why i am working on bds too..i said that i know of only one mbbs guy with 300

Leqsy: Bros and sis dont compare ui with oau..mehn the competition was totally different then again it was 100 questions for 100 marks.,i also heard the time was sufficiently enough and it was only the physics that was somehow...so if the cutoff mark was high i guess thats understandable.
I am not saying oau is better than ui academically(though it is better in structure and geo. Planning) but people passed their postjamb more than ours so dont give up.also oau admits more undergraduates so cheer up fellas.35 thursdays to go.
Our major problem is that the school's change of course procedure is bullshit.they just toss people around.so try and meet the right people and dont even think about crossing in 200l

it wasn't enough for those that wrote maths n physics, so say what u know.

Ah missed physics which is my best subj. Though the fizis was conc wid calculation bt if time was enough, it's a piece of cake
