The draw for the European play-
offs took place at the home of Fifa
in Zurich on Monday afternoon as
the eight nations that remain in the
race for a ticket for the 2014 World
Cup found out their opponents and
four enticing ties await next month.
Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal face a
tough task to make it to Brazil as
they were paired with the Sweden of PSG star Zlatan
Ibrahimovic.
Furthermore, France will meet Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine as
they fight for one place at next summer's tournament.
Finally, Euro 2004 winners Greece take on Romania, while
surprise package Iceland face Croatia.
The first legs will be played on November 15, with the returns
scheduled to take place four days later on the 19th.

The process saw four seeded teams in Pot 1,
determined by their placing in the FIFA/Coca-Cola
World Ranking, each paired up with one of the
sides in Pot 2.
The seeded nations were: Portugal (ranked 14),
Greece (15), Croatia (18) and Ukraine (20). The
unseeded teams were France (21), Sweden (25),
Romania (29) and Iceland (46).

What this implies is that btw d 2 biggest players of d playoff,1 will surely go home.
Unfortunately world cup need their prescence but its d price u pay when u perform below par during ur group qualification.Had Portugal played to their potentials,Russia would have been d playoff team and not them.As for Sweden,a playoff is the best they can wish for when paired in same group with Germany.
My prediction; Sweden will nip it.
