no just switch it on regardless of your area and tell me if it worked.

Thank you sir, but it didn't work. I switched on the hotspot wlan, even the wifi & even switched both of them on simultaneously. Yet it didn't work

I had similar problem too.wen you switch everything on.close the app and restart it again.make sure u re on 3g if possible

Go to settings then apps/applications, locate bbm then choose force close. Launch it again it should connect.
