POST-JAMB SCREENING EXERCISE
NOTICE TO ALL CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION INTO THE RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR 2008/2009 ACADEMIC SESSION

All candidates who selected the Rivers State University of Science and Technology as their first and second choice University during the 2008 Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) are hereby requested to take note of the following:-
The screening exercise for admission of candidates will be administered only on candidates who chose RSUST as first and second choice University.
Only candidates in the Faculty of Engineering, Management Sciences and Law who scored 200 and above in JAMB will qualify for the screening exercise.
Only candidates in the Faculties of Environmental Sciences (Urban and Regional Planning only), Science and Technical and Science Education who scored 180 points and above will qualify for the screening exercise.
Candidates in Faculty of Agriculture who scored 170 and above in JAMB will qualify for the screening exercise.
Candidates who qualify for the screening exercise are required to buy scratch card at the rate of N5,000.00 from Information Technology Centre (ITC) in the University.
Candidates are expected to register for the screening tests on-line (Internet) by logging on to www.rsustonline.com in order to complete their registration process.
Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport size picture.
The closing date for the registration of the Post UME Screening exercise is Friday, 20th July, 2008.

How to Apply
Purchase a Post UME Application Scratch Cards from the RSUST ITC Centre at the cost of N5,000.00 (Five thousand Naira only)
Log on to www.rsustonline.com and click Online Application to see a list of applications currently available in the University
Click Regular in the Post UME row
Enter the PIN and Serial Number of your scratch card and click Start Application
Enter your UME Registration Number and click Yes if you chose RSUST as your first Choice University. Click No if you did not choose No if your did not choose RSUST as your first choice University.
Click Next.
Enter Examination Details in the Qualifications Form that is displayed. Enter your subjects and grades by selecting the subjects from the Subject dropdown list, select the grade from the Grades dropdown list and click enter. When you are done with all your subjects, click Next.
To upload your passport, you must have an already scanned passport sized photograph in the computer you are using or stored in any memory device like flash drive. Click Browse to navigate to the folder where the passport file is stored. Select the passport file (which must be in .jpg format) and click Upload. If the passport upload was successful, click Next.
Your Exam Schedule Slip will be displayed, showing the date and time for your Screening test and other UME Details including your passport photograph.
Print your Exam Schedule Slip and keep it safe. Your exam schedule slip contains details of the scheduled date for your screening test including the time, your batch and seat Number. PLEASE ADHERE STRICTLY TO THE SCHEDULE ON YOUR SLIP AS EXCUSES WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. You will be required to produce your Exam Schedule Slip on the day of your screening test.

DAY 1: WEDNESDAY, 23RD JULY, 2008
Faculty of Agriculture
Faculty of Science
Faculty of Technical and Science Education
Faculty of Env. Sciences (Urban and Regional Planning only)

DAY 2: THURSDAY, 24TH JULY, 2008
Faculty of Law

DAY 3: FRIDAY 25TH JULY, 2008
Faculty of Engineering

DAY 4: SATURDAY, 26TH JULY, 2008
Faculty of Management Sciences

Candidates who fail to appear for the screening exercise on the scheduled dates will have themselves to blame. All candidates for the screening exercise are required to come along with the following:-

(a) Biro, Pencil, eraser, ruler and calculator. No GSM phones will be allowed during the screening exercise.

(b) Parents and guardians and well-wishers are advised to stay away from the halls in their own interest.

It is important to note that the names of successful candidates shall be published.
