In a country wia most kids grow up without the love care and protection of a father, where fathers cheat on their wives in the presence of the kids and squander their salaries on drinks and prostit***s, children stil hope to be different, better parents. Does history/facts favour the dreams of an aspiring Dad whose father wasn't the "best" of dads? Hw much effect does the integrity of a father have on his sons?

Sometimes having an irresponsible parent causes children to be more responsible. They are often wise beyond their years, because they had to grow up fast. Many have to become the parent, not only to the adult, but often to siblings.

There are even those who see the pain and misery caused by the actions of the irresponsible parent, and become determined to never be like them.

I do believe we are the product of our environment, to an extent. I also believe, though, that there comes a time, when we can no longer blame our actions on others. If we had a poor example, or no example, it is important to grow up, and take responsibility for our actions.

Its just dat a lot of guys lik dat usually av d nice guy syndrome cos dat wat dere modas teach dem unconsciously in d process of lamenting wat d guys fada did to dem.. And d prob den arises when he dates d wrong gal who take his niceness for foolishness.. And d beast is unleashed.. In essence, d upbringing from d moda, d kinda pple he relates with latter in life as well as his personal determination to b better dan is dad, and some prayers too is wat is going to tell if he is goin to b responisible or not

No child is born bad. Children are product of their environment. The difference btw a Princess and a vagabond is how each was raised to feel about herself. Otherwise every child is born a Prince or Princess, but if left untamed will tend towards self destruction (2nd law of thermodynamics, from college days )

To answer ur question even if a child has an irresponsible father but has a very strong mother or has a very positive influence on his life at the early formative stages in life, he will turn out good. Positive influence could be a grandpa, grandma, a mentor, an uncle, close teacher or even character-building clubs like the boys and girls scout, boys and girls clubs (in USA), boys and girls brigades, church youth mentoring groups, etc. Once more, a child is a product of his/her environment not just one person, according to child psychologists.
