Lack of education is still the leading cause of ignorance and crime.

U need to read the post again. Reference was only made to South East. They did not say portharcourt was South East.

Even though no names were mentioned, there are many South Easterners in PH as well as there are in Lagos and Abuja.

Baby boys can sell for a price of
around $250 (180 euros), baby girls
for slightly less.
$250? That's about N40k, how can this even be a profitable venture when the woman will feed them, take care of them medically e.t.c. I really don't understand

Avoid pre-marital sex if you can't protect yourself from pregnancy.

She said the girls also told police that
they were being kept in the home to
make babies which would be sold to
willing buyers.
I think this is like a win-win situation. Girls with unwanted pregnancies agree to stay with her for care till they are delivered of the babies and then they leave since they don't want the babies. The woman in turn takes care of their feeding and health conditions with the aim of eventually getting their babies and selling them to recoup her investment. This is the way it should be because I don't think anyone will camp some girls for nine months spending on them and sell the end products at a paltry N40k.

You are the nitwit Sir. Everyone knows its your people that engage in such inhuman act.

Further probe on the story will DEFINITELY vindicate my assertion.

If something like this is allowed to continue, we will soon have cases of people just rounding up girls and rapping them to produce babies and then camping them in the bush.

1st of all this incident happened in Obigbo/Oyigbo another town in Rivers State close to Abia and not in Port Harcourt. 2ndly I don't believe in the baby factory stories as they are usually Police frame ups against charity organizations.

hollandis: Freed is not the word ,nigeria is a country where despite her wealth ,the people are suffering in abject poverty.Any way to make money na way.The police has succedded in putting sand sand in their garri, because the girls clearly wanted to be there .

Infact you have just nailed it. These girls are being paid money to leave their babies behind.
How unfortunate..
