After keeping their loyal fans waiting for what seemed like years, mobile device giants, Nokia, have launched the brand’s first tablet PC — the Nokia Lumia 2520 that uses simcard.

Packed with features that truly justify the long delay in its release, the new tablet promises to compete with those by other strong brands, such as the iPad and Samsung Galaxy series of tablets.

Let's ride on...

Design

The new Lumia 2520 tablet has a smooth unibody frame made of polycarbonate that extends from the back to the edges of the device. The back of the device has a somewhat arched design that doesn’t shake much when placed on a flat surface, and thin edges that make the device very easy to handle.

Display

The Lumia 2520 spots a 10.1-inch full HD display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. And like the smartphones in the Nokia Lumia range, the device utilizes Nokia’s Clear-Black Screen filter, which improves the visibility when you’re outdoors. So, you won’t have any problems using the tablet in sunlight.

Performance and memory

Running on Windows 8.1 RT, the Lumia 2520 tablet is powered by a 2.2 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which facilitates excellent and hitch-free performance.

In addition to the impressive features already mentioned, the device is packed with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory (which you can expand using a micro SD card).

Battery

One of the strongest points of the the Lumia 2520 tablet is its battery. The device packs an 8000-mAh Li-Ion battery that can deliver for 10 hours with heavy use and more with lighter use.

Bottom line

If you’re a Nokia fan, or you love to be unique, then the new Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet is for you and others like you. Call it Nokia’s version of the iPad and Galaxy Tab, and you’d be right. But this device sets itself apart from others by running on Windows OS — not Android.

Cool you say? Haha. Wait to handle that baby in your hands and you'll know it's the best. My waiting hasn't been in vain. This is a device in its own class, and for classy, cool and big men. It differentiates the men from the toddlers, believe me. November 22nd (the release date), come quickly!

Problem is folks like me who want to run the full Windows OS and not the RT version on the tablet.
