OUR MAGAZINE PROJECT "MUSLIM JOURNAL" BEGINS THIS FRIDAY
All praises are due to Allah the Lord of incomparable Majesty, we seek Allah’s benediction on the Prophet of Islam, his household, companions, and all those who follow the guidance.
The MUSLIM JOURNAL is an Islamic Magazine planned for the entirety of the Muslim community in Nigeria and neighboring countries. The Journal became necessarily for the following reasons:
1) Absence of a truly national, standard, and regular media to represent the Muslim interest
2) Consequent demonization of Muslims in the non-Muslim dominated media
3) Absence of a lively yet educative Magazine among Muslims
4) Absence of a means to hear from the local scholars and consequent absence of relationship between the average Nigerian Muslim and his scholar
5) Absence of a medium through which Muslim leaders can communicate with their followers and vice versa
6) The easily observed decline in reading habit, scholarship and lost of interest in Islamic knowledge
7) The easily observed orientation problems among Muslims whereby Qur’an and Sunnah are jettisoned for secular philosophy
All of these have necessitated the introduction of this effort, hence the following can be said to be its Aims:
1) Presenting everyday happenings in Islamic perspective
2) Creating a medium through which Muslim leaders can reach their followers and vice versa as well as a medium of interaction for Islamic bodies and highlighting Islamic personalities hence fostering unity among Muslims
3) Challenging media bias and presenting the truth
4) Presenting Islamic knowledge to Muslims in a lively manner
5) Creating employment and economic opportunity for Muslims via networking and staffing
6) Creating a medium for publicity of Islamic programmes, causes and projects
CONTENT: When the magazine takes full shape we will see contents like "The Sunnah the Better", "From the Early Scholars", "Up Close", "Personal Experiences", "Ask the Jurists", and others which i will not want to say because we save the best for the last. Let me not even mention some of the suggested cover stories because we intend to try and do rather than talk if Allah assists us
MINI EDITION
Instead of dreaming of when we will produce all these content with optimum quality as we intend it, we have decided to start from where we are so that there will be no more stories
To this effect our first editions will come in a three fold glossy coloured pamphlet format as large as A3 when spread out. We intend to test the waters with this and gather distribution channels, more funds, sponsors, and experience using this pamphlet which we have called the Mini Edition. The Pamphlet which will be out in 5 states In shaa Allah this Friday and will sell monthly will sell for just 50 naira and we are beginning with just 5,000 copies (1,000 copies per state)
We have identified the following state/city and Mosque as target so that if our state distributor sells just 200 per Mosque the message would have reached the people. We want us to look at these target and signify our interest if we intend to distribute so that a 1,000 pieces package of Muslim Journal Mini Edition is sent to you as soon as possible
We also call on our brothers and sisters to support this cause by buying in bulk and distributing free. As a matter of fact that is how we intend distribution to be after this first month. With 10,000 you can reach 200 people with sound admonition and you will sit in your home and get the reward In shaa Allah while we or anyone you choose helps distribute it. If you key in the Nigeria factor you will realise you may even be reaching a thousand people because at least 5 people will read from one pamphlet. On our part we promise to only present well researched admonition which point after point have been confirmed to be correct by trusted scholars
DISTRIBUTION
Please signify interest her or through inbox if you can cover any of these states/city then an Editor will contact you through inbox to settle on your profit but first note the following:
1) You are not allowed to sell or advertise INSIDE the Mosque
2) You may sell to a person who is interested in buying bulk for the reward and simply then distribute for him. This should be the target mainly
3) It does not have to be sold only around the Mosque, there are other avenues and occasions.

CONCLUSION
We urge you to join the building of this structure for our Ummah. It is better to join a good deed when it is beginning and be steadfast than to jump in when the train begins to move as you may have missed the reward of starting it
The Ummah is in this state, the ummah is in that state. It is time to work the talk
