The culture and tradition of every society does not only tell the story of their past, but is also an indication of how well that society will develop in the future.

Everything we hold dear today as "tradition" started with a ruler many hundred years ago. Most of these rulers made these laws based on the society of that time.

A lot has changed but we still hang on to some old primitive traditions such as the "Osu" syndrome which classifies human beings as outcasts.

I find it appalling that this tradition is still being religiously upheld in the Eastern Part of this country (I wonder if it exists anywhere else). Unfortunately most people who discriminate call themselves Christians and all what not.

I am not an Osu...besides I don't even come from that part of the world. But I think it is a Stvpid Tradition.

Osu or outcast used to be very popular in Africa, every single tribe had such punishments in the olden days. But now it's dying off everywhere. In my village n local government, I have never seen or heard about osu or outcast. It's very possible that some localities in igbo land could still practice it.

Why not give me the available info. Name a few african people that practice the osu-type outcast system.
Pls Note: I'm not talking about slave cast or social class cast
