Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi urged his
players to fight for their place in the World
Cup squad with consistent performance for
their respective clubs.

The Super Eagles coach warned that there will
be no automatic passage for players who were
part of the team during the qualifying series, as
invitation for the World Cup will be handed on
the basis of both form and fitness of each player.

"It’s time to go back and work hard for our
various club sides and stay healthy, because
that will form the basis for invitation when we
resume next year," Keshi said on Tuesday.
"The truth is that not everybody here will go to
the World Cup, but that is how football goes, so
those who want to be part of the team must
remain fit and play regularly for their club
sides."
Keshi is expected to return to Nigeria with the
home-based players on Thursday morning.

Well said Keshi , the only good example of a consistent player both in the club and country is our workaholic and tireless Ogenyi Onazi.and wish he keeps improving ... Every other player should emulate his style .
