Feasibility Profile On Modern Fully Equiped Mobile Devices Servicing Outlet by easytask(m): 9:27am On Nov 20, 2013
Introduction

The feasibility is on the set up of a modern fully equipped mobile devices (Phones, Tablets etc) service outlet centre with capacity to handle 12,000 devices annually.

The mobile phone and devices density in Nigeria is about 67% with over 20 million Mobile phones and devices actively connected to about a dozen networks. These devices range from Mobile phones, Tablet PC, and Laptops. However our profile is targeted on the mobile phones and tablet pcs.

Mobile Phone as an electronic device used for communication and messaging has become very popular and essential need of the Nigerian society. There are available in Nigeria various make and brands in the market from the popular mtk china phones to the original phones and tablets pcs manufactured by well-known brands like Nokia, Samsung, Htc, Blackberry, Tecno, Zte, Infinix, LG, Sony, etc. .

The mobile phones and devices business environment has created a value chain including sales, repairs, servicing and accessories. This value chain contributed to the growth of Nigerian GDP and the creation of thousands of small and medium businesses which are thriving.

The Opportunity

The envisaged Service outlet will focus on the repair and servicing of mobile devices using complete and modern tools and equipment. Though there are countless mobile devices service Centres spread across, but these are largely small one-man business and at most employing 2 staffs on an un-organized and systemic basis. Our argument is that if you can have organized mobile phone shops like Slots, Micro station, infinix then you can create the same concept but this time around for a mobile device service centre.

This Business if well managed has the potential of opening additional 5 outlets within a year

Though branded companies have service units attached to them but they cannot compete with a full fledge service centre. The demands for repairing of mobile Devices are estimated at 25,000 daily and growing.

Process

Process of Servicing or repairing of mobile phones involves two part, one hardware and the other software . If the fault is related to software the mobile phone is connected to computer vide data cable and necessary repairs is done. The hardware are the one needing replacement of parts or physical parts repairing.

Some of the machineries and tools needed includes:
