I ve two similar solutions

1: download and install Total Commande apk
run Total Commande , allow root access
locate and open SYSTEM FILE
locate and open ETC FILE
locate and open HOSTS FILE ...open with
EDIT OPTION
insert the symbol # before the second set
of ip address numbers then save the changes
and exit
REBOOT PHONE
add google account in settings and your
playstore will now work

note: use root explorer instead of total commands


method 2

step: 1. Make sure you have a ROOT ACCESS on your Device.
2. Install Root Explorer, Run App, Grant SU
Access.
3. Browse root / etc... at the top of your screen
you will see mount R/O and mount R/W...
4.Tap mount R/W
5.Look for host file, long press it and open with
text editor.
6. just Add # (pound sign) on the first number.
like this:
#74.125.93.113(just one
space)android.clients.google.com
SAVE IT and Reboot.
Now you can connect to Google Play very well

I guess u missed one of d steps.
if u ve droid wall on ur phone disable it or any other firewalls

please i have bin suffering from playstore now almost a month i cleared d it data n later unistalled it coz anytime i got 10m it wil drain it within 1hour but now some of my apps like fifa,2go,gmail and some others ar not dey wil say unfortunately it has stop plis help me am realy tired of d phone plis help i have downloads many and install it will just open n close immediately i format and reboot up. to 20 times i even unroot and reboot stil dsame am using tecno d5 rooted plis i need total solution plis

Mayb it is d mem. card. try n move some apps to phone memory n run them
