You would recall in 2011, the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan introduced a laudable initiative called YOUWIN for young entrepreneurs and potential startups in Nigeria, Africa.
This is to enable struggling business survives and business ideas become a reality. Likewise, to create jobs for millions of Nigerians.

What is YouWiN!?

YouWiN! Stands for Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria. It is an innovative business plan competition aimed at job creation by encouraging and supporting aspiring entrepreneurial youth in Nigeria to develop and execute business ideas. The accomplishments of the 1,200 YouWiN! Awardees were celebrated at the Presidential Villa on April 12, 2012. YouWiN! Women were the second edition of the entrepreneurial scheme, which was designed for only female entrepreneurs aged 45 years or less. YouWiN! 3 is the third edition and will feature men and women entrepreneurs in Nigeria between the ages of 18 to 40.

The essence of this is to draft a guide for you to write a wining business proposal but it is not to give an automatic call-up from YOUWIN financier. It will give an overview and logical idea of how you should write and fill the business form proposal on their site; www.youwin.org.ng.

The purpose of creating a business plan like this is simply to attract equity investment, obtain a loan from the bank, secure funds or grants like the YOUWIN initiative, re-evaluate your entire business, develop an overall business strategy, establish better control and direction for the striving of the business. In summary, your business plan or proposal aside using it to pitch for funds will be your blueprint for operations, finance and growth.
