Tragedy was averted at the Faculty of Education, in University of Benin when a security officer killed a black long dangerous snake which had spitted on one of the security men (names withheld) several times.
The dangerous serpent was killed using a stick few meters to Prof. [Emeritus] N.A. NWANGWU HALL.

As a result of this incident, a general cutting of grasses which is a culture of the institution has been ordered.

Dangerous and poisonous snakes has been a major threat in the University environment.

It was also gathered that a lager snake had also been killed in one of the University hostel call Hall 3 a.k.a Aroo headquarter and Beans paradise.
