If you’re not a millionaire, don’t give up hope that you will become one someday. Take note of the reasons you aren’t a millionaire and resolve to make changes that will make a million dollars obtainable, even for the average person.

1. You’re Not Your Own Boss

Although there’s no guarantee that self-employment will earn you a million dollars, it’s really unlikely that working for someone else will get you there either. There are very few jobs that pay million dollar salaries.

Don’t quit your day job tomorrow to launch a business, however. Instead, consider keeping your day job while you start a business on the side. You’ll have the security of your current salary along with an opportunity to create a business where you can earn extra cash.

2. You Avoid Taking Risks

People don’t become millionaires without taking any risks. Taking a risk doesn’t mean you need to invest all your money into a single investment or that you need to gamble earnings foolishly.

However, taking calculated risks is often part of good money management. No one gets rich on the interest they earn from the bank. Instead, millionaires know how to invest their money wisely.

3. You Never Act on Your Good Ideas

It’s one thing to come up with million dollar ideas, but a completely different thing to act on them. If you are more a dreamer who never puts his money where his mouth is, you’ll never get rich. Millionaires don’t sit around and watch others advance in life. They take action to help them reach their goals.

4. You Don’t Manage Your Money Wisely

The average person has the potential to become a millionaire in today’s world. Sound investments, a solid budget, and clear goals can mean that a person who earns an average salary can become a millionaire by retirement.

If you don’t manage your money wisely now, however, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to handle a million dollars with good sense. Establish a budget and create goals for yourself to help you save money now.

5. You Don’t Set Clear Goals for Yourself

People who don’t have clear goals aren’t going to make smart money decisions. You need goals to help you save money and invest wisely.

Create goals, such as getting out of debt or saving up for a vacation home. Creating goals will help you determine whether or not you should spend your money on other things that come up in the meantime. If you’re saving with a specific goal in mind, it’s much easier to say no to tempting opportunities to spend money.

6. You Don’t Put in Enough Time, Effort, and Energy

No one makes a million dollars by watching TV or sleeping 12 hours a night. Unless you’re lucky enough to win the lottery or inherit a windfall, becoming a millionaire takes hard work.

Millionaires consider the time and energy they put into a project to be an investment. They understand they won’t get immediate results but are willing to put in the hard work it takes to see the fruits of their labor. Learn how to manage your time wisely so you can become more productive with your efforts.

7. You Aren’t Networking with the Right People

You won’t become successful in life if you spend time with lazy people who aren’t interested in managing their money wisely. However, if you surround yourself with energetic, successful people, it will rub off on you.

Develop relationships with successful people in your community. Look for people who can mentor you in your efforts to manage your finances, invest wisely, or build a business. Spending time with others who share your goals can help fuel your passion and efforts to become a successful millionaire.

I was like you until I read books on network marking and realize that its the easiest way to become wealth and attain financial freedom.
MultiLevelMarketing is the business of the future.Donald Trump once was quoted as saying that the business that will bring forth the most millionaires in the future will be network marketing and home-based businesses; just look for the right one --that you make money with or without recruiting people and is not a ponzi.
I've lots of friends that became millionaires in dollars through MLM and they are below age 40 and very ordinary people, money they never thought they would have made in traditional business.

“Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.” – Robert T. Kiyosaki

I can't advice anyone not to go for it, but its not meant for everyone though.

Am happy to read your contribution about Multi Level Marketing and because of people perception of MLM here I hardly talk about or mention it but from your post which is 100% accurate I have friends and close associates who earn millions from their MLM business but you see MLM is not about the money you will make but about who you become in the process and I tell People that Network Marketing is simply a system of raising leaders because without the mindset of empowering people and helping them reach their vision, You cannot take them to their promise land of financial and time freedom which is where leadership comes in because leadership is leading people to achieve their dreams and vision. So success in Network Marketing is a mission of helping people to help themselves and others.

Have noticed that one of the reason some Nigeria complain about MLM and will not touch it with a Nepa or PHCN pool is because of three basic things.

a. Immediate Gratification Syndrome (IGS) and Lotto Mentality.
b. Lack of leadership Skills
c. Lack of good education about MLM.

I will only talk about Immediate Gratification Syndrome (IGS) and Lotto Mentality, with this short story. I once signed someone up with the company I was involved with and the next thing the guy asked me while he was picking his business kit was Andy when will I win? So in surprise and partial excitement I asked him win what to be sure of what he was saying because I believe success in life is working with the mindset of winning and in reply the guy said when will I win the money you people are talking about. To cut the story short, I corrected him and gave him the right orientation because in Network Marketing you are building your fortunes which pays for life while wages pays you per Month and is not a lotto where you play with money instead you work like others will not and enjoy life now and in the future like other will not.

So I asked him Profit and wages which one is better and the guy said profits. Today in my team is one of the top earners.

According to Jim Rohn of blessed memory, he said "Profit is better than wages"

I will just suggest that you look for a company with a good CEO with experiance in Network Marketing, Consumable product that solves problems that people are willing to buy again and again and a good compensation plan.

Network Marketing is the best thing that capitalism and free enterprise has given to the world for personal wealth and empowerment on a massive large scale and according to Paul Zane Pilzer three times Economic adviser to White House and a Professor of Economics at the age of 24 he said " It took America 100 years raise 10 million Millionaires and it will take America 10 years to raise the next 10 million millionaires and they will be coming from the wellness industry because of technology and Network Marketing.

America is a template for the whole world as we know today and have positioned my self for Nigeria because the revolution is about starting in Nigeria.

Finally I will like to say that Network Marketing has changed my life physically, emotional, mentally and spiritually. Today I earn over a million monthly and am paid in dollars not just that what gives me joy is the joy and happiness I see on the face of people I brought to Network marketing who are doing very well with deliberate effort and seriousness towards their business.

Attached is a picture of my weekly earnings and the unique thing is I cut my self cheques in dollars here in Nigeria. If I am dreaming please don't wake me up. Lol grin
