Ayoolla: Sir, Did you just hear what you said"A Shrapnel" from where sir? Are you sure you know what youre talking about?A shrapnel can only come from a ballistic projectile sir, it scatters before it lodges directly in the target(the reason the entry is bigger) and makes its exit in a straight path or at an angle of depression of about 2 or 3 degrees from its point of exit. Have you seen some of the guns our SSS and security details around our Govs carry around? They are silently muffled M12s and B15s.. The will kill you without hearing a click! Thats the truth! Or you think you now have to hear "kpakpa" as a gun shot? "U don die finish" the reason his colleagues didnt hear anything. Besides, during onhead collision of two or more vehicles, the areas of high impact include,; the, engine hood, which contains very strong fixed elements, dash board, and the windscreen whose fragments could pierce the body in different ways. The engine block could only compress and implode as a result of oil/gear oil exhaust pipe contact, and nothing more, no shrapnel and no flying object! I wonder how some people blindly and fanatically typed "it is not a bullet" when they haven't seen any before! A PA live catridge will convince you further.
I thereffore submit that no other object/componet of collision could have caused it sir.. With proofs and stop talking like a dunce for once! RIP to the dead!
Sir, allow me to educate you: Shrapnel can come from any projectile, not only b0mbs. Now, do you not know that a car moving at a very high speed is a projectile (indeed a ballistic projectile at that point in time) and will explode on sudden impact just like a b0mb. Have you seen what happened to the car Paul Walker and his friend were riding in before they died? The car exploded on impact!

The engine in a car serves thesame function as the gun powder in a gun or the propulsion system in a misile which enables the bullet and misile to move at very high speeds before hitting their targets.

And you havent told us what the govt has to gain by killing him.

And pls dont embarrass yourself here ooo.

There are 3 categories of foolish people on this thread:
The first category are those asking for autopsy report, they are too stu.pid to know that government anywhere in the world wil do all it takes to cover their secret... Let me ask if you were the doctor, would you be bold enough to release the autopsy report, considering the sensitivity of the case, this is a country where the minister of justice was killd&nothing happend, a country where a whole ship, and not a boat suddenly disappeard.

The second category are those people asking if nobody in the car heard gunshot sound, they are too stu.pid to know that a gun can be fitted with silencer.

The third are those people that know nothing abt ballistic&forensic analysis, but are using unproductive hands to type rubbish.

Last.bullet: the real truth wont be revealed abt what killd iyayi

RIP PROF.. please how many years will autopsy take? Think if it was a bullet, it should have been determined by now not this outburst of speculations when wen have bunch of people parading themselves as professionals in this case.
If it was a shot; the bullet should be lodged in the body, and if it passed through the body, it should have been found in the seat of the car!! This show how clueless the investigation units are! The car must have been i their custudy or was the car burnt?? Please you guys should stop speculations and get to work!! All this "i think"" we think" will only worsen already bad situation!!

I saw Festus Iyayi last on May 7 this year in Conference Centre, OAU, Ile-Ife, where he delivered a paper titled "Is There a Ruling Class in Nigeria?" The paper and over 70 others were delivered as part of the international conceference with the theme, "Nationalism and Economic Justice in Nigeria", organized by the Department of Philosophy to mark the retirement of Dr. Dipo Fashina, a former ASUU President.

Iyayi, RIP.

who is embarrassing who here? Are you not the one embarrasing yourself? you just contradicted yourself, was it reported that the vehicle in which he was actually exploded? Was there another explosion somwhere else? Even if there was an explosion, why were his body not burnt or his lungs swollen( in case of an asphyxiation)? Why wasnt his body badly burnt? The Point is sir, even the engine has a high impact resistance that is factored into its Factor of Safety during design meaning, u're likely to see less engine explosions during collisions accidents in newer automobiles, but it has been there all the while. Meaning, while your airbag protects you, automatically some systems are shut down! Do you drive a modern car? I seriously doubt it with your comments! Only old cars and trucks burn nowadays on collision! was there a mass casualty figure amongs all the occupants of the vehicle? Even if a vehicle burns down, it burns and explodes in a progression and not haphazardly as you'l d love to believe. Remember every mechanical machine has a factor of safety and not just an empty box as you earlier thought.I learnt one other person or more died from "injuries" and not a wound.... Note the difference please, you are not a ballistic expert neither are you a weapons specialist, so it's expected of you to "Yarn" like "oga @ top"

Pipsland78: How does that resemble a bullet hole? Pls stop believing Sahara Reporters and their APC agenda.

That is obviously a wound from shrapnel during the accident.

If indeed he was shot, how come his colleagues that were in the car with him didnt hear and didnt see a thing? Or were they in on the plot?
And what purpose would his death serve since he was not even the ASUU chairman?

Learn to reason and ask questions before believing all you read!
If d collision with d vehicle occured b4 d purporte gun shot... Den, dey(co-travellers) may hav passd out. There was no way ‘passed-out‘ men cud here gun shot(s)

may Prof's soul rest in peace. Hole on his body too large to be from bullet. Or how could the shooter have shot without anyone noticing it? But one thing is clear, this ASUU strike has all the colours of struggle for power shift. The strike is no more having a humane face, not even having the colour of trade dispute anymore.

If the projectile is as big as the hole infront then there is no way it could have exited through the hole behind, but if you look closely you'd notice that there's another hole beneath the big one. I believe the doctor made the bigger hole so he could confirm the amount of damage done by whatever passed through the smaller hole. So in my opinion "he was shot"

I am speechless. That is the body of my lecturer. I can still hear him tell me "Go and read the HBR article on "Good Communication that Blocks Learning". He made me deliver a presentation on the HBR article entitled "How Hardwired is Human Behavior". I still remember when he taught me corporate decision moments using the HBR Article "Defining Moments - When Managers Must Choose between Right and Right". Every class was as if we were at Harvard Business School; in reality, we were just 400L Business Students.

But there he is - simply dead. Life can be so cruel. But God knows best. May it be Jehovah's will that he be raised up on resurrection day.

greatgod2012: The first five posters are very funny, but this is not a funny thread at all.
It is sad and pathetic.

If it's really accident, well, the governor's convoy are known to be reckless drivers and they have used their recklessness to waste a valuable life away.
If it's assasination(murder), then, those who did it must have forgotten that we will all die one day, but woe unto whoever takes another man's life. So, they are going to perpetually live with the guilt for the rest of their lives.
that is for those whose conscience are still active. Any way in imo state, they use all the road that every other vehicle must stop and clear from the road until they pass, ohakim was doing it and rochas continued the same way
