Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by Seun(m): 4:21pm On Jun 17, 2006 |
Hello, I find Afeni very annoying. Others do too. Should I ban him permanently? Some otherwise valuable Nairaland members are too stupid to ignore him, so is it better to exclude him from the community? Permanently? Seun. |

He had a fight with mariory under politics and Akolawole said, "this is why intelligent people don't post on Nairaland" which made me to ban Akolawole from posting till Monday, but I don't know what to do about afemi. |

Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by aloib(f): 4:56pm On Jun 17, 2006 |

Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by Skidoc(m): 4:57pm On Jun 17, 2006 |
Seun: If you don't ban Afeni till Monday too, it won't be fair on Akolawole considering the fact that Afeni started it. So you either unban Akolawole or ban Afeni till Monday also. |
Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by diddy4(m): 4:58pm On Jun 17, 2006 |
yep, a warning will do for sure. if after d warning, no change, den do what u gotta do @skidoc i really dont think its cuzz of the fight dat he banned akolawole, i think its cuzz of the statement he made. |
Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by Skidoc(m): 5:00pm On Jun 17, 2006 |
diddy4: You have a point there. That statement was uncalled for. |
Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by diddy4(m): 5:00pm On Jun 17, 2006 |

Re: Should I Ban Afeni Permanently? by Shagari2(m): 5:17pm On Jun 17, 2006 |
No, nairaland will be too sane without him, besides he does'nt have any other friends so he'll only come back with a diff username. A jolly good spanking is all thats required |

Okay, what about Afeni is annoying? Honestly, truth be told, I don't like your defeatist attitudes towards issues relating to Nigeria. It is like you are constantly deleting my posts and moving perfectly acceptable threads I make to back-water channels so others will not see it. Clearly, you are letting your personal views on issues cloud your judgment. I keep my posts free from curse words. I make sure they are relatively free from error. My posts open the mind of the reader to new ideas. Yes, I don't post a lot about economical systems, which seems to be your interest, I just think that Nigeria is facing more pressing issues than discussing to what extent capitalism should be implemented. The comments I made towards Mariory were perfectly justified. He used a Government spokeman's comment to prove that the Executive branch of government was not abusing power. Clearly, that is just a play on the intelligence of the reader. And lastly, I am intelligent and I post on Nairaland. If you really think intelligent posters are looking for a forum that acts like a mouth-piece of the Nigerian Administration, you are mistaken. The only reason why I think some intelligent posters might not post on the political forum is because it is too guarded. Just about any issue that is worth seriously debated is kept off limits. Threads that talk about the moral and official basis on which Nigeria deserves to live or die are off limits. But yet, we find that the political forum is busting at the seems with pan-African and Nigerian patriotic threads that just fail to spark the interest of the reader. |

Nah, I think I'll just ban him. He's out of touch with Nairaland reality and I suspect some people have left this site because of him, blaming me for not banning him. I will ban him on a whim in the next few days. 1 Like |

Some otherwise valuable Nairaland members are too stupid to ignore him, so its okay for u to call others stupid? and how does ignoring some1 be seen as stupid ice cream? |
