Despite Monday's Federal Government's deadline to the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to return to classrooms or considered themselves, the lecturers have insisted that they are not returning to class until the Federal Government responds to its letter requesting it to put its promises to fund the universities in writing and sign it for future reference.
