Just recently the subcriber base for mobile communication in Nigeria just exceeded 50 million subcribers with over 90 million lines existing. This shows a 40% increase in growth in first quarter of 2008.Over 3.49 million mobile phones were sold between january and March 2008.With Nokia still leading in the market with a market share of 65%. This means that Nokia is still the most patronised brand in Nigeria followed by Samsung,Sony Ericsson,Sagem and Bird. Motorola is losing its market share in Nigeria.
