I have two 1990 fordtransit van but my mecanic advice me to convert them to petrol engine because of hard start,pls advice me b4 i do this trial

Hard starting in a diesel engine is usually down to bad glow plugs. The 2.5 DI engine is very robust, and reliable. It's also pretty simple, and easy to trouble shoot. If your mechanic can't (won't?) identify what's wrong, then he shouldn't be working on an automobile.

And I would suggest you look around for an alternative technician.
