Google is a big technology company that was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in a friend's garage while they were students at Stanford University 15years ago. 1. Google's Name was gotten due to the mispelling of the word "googol''. In actual fact , the word 'googol' means 'One Followed By A Hundred Zeros

2. Google Has The Largest Network Of Translators In The World.

3.The Application 'Orkut' was developed by one of google's most intelligent engineers. He was given license to run it as a private app and not a google app.

4. Google's first ever tweet was on february 2009 and the tweet was ''I'm 01100110 01100101 01100101 01101100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101100 01110101 01100011 01101011 01111001 00001010'' . Which actually means 'I'm Feeling Lucky''.


5. Google Has A Dinosaur : There are lots of wonderous things to see at 'Google's Plex' but the most interesting of all is the sight of a gigantic skelenton dinosaur nicknamed "Stan". Stan can be found at Googlers in Mountain View.

6. Google' Logo Wasn't Centered Until 2001 : google's logo wasnt at the center until march 31st 2001. Early users of google could recall that its logo was placed at the left hand side of its homepage.


7. Google Hires Goats : oh yea , google hires goats!. Google hires goats from a california company called California Grazing to help cut down the amount of weeds and brush at Google HQ.

8. Google Loves Food : The Founders Of google , Brin and Page have said that no Googler should ever be more than 100 feet from a micro-kitchen with snacks and food. The first chef that Google employed earned $26 million from his stock options.


9. Google Loves Dogs : yea thats right!. Google loves dogs and they even have a company dog called 'Yoshka'. Yoshka accompanies Urs Holzle, senior VP operations and Google Fellow to the Googleplex. According to google's code of conduct , staffs are allowed to bring their dogs to office but cats are not allowed

10. Two searches on Google produces about 14g of CO2, or the same amount as boiling a kettle, according to a Harvard University academic. However, Google disputes this and say it’s closer to 0.2g (or 0.003kWh) per search.

11. Early This year , google's core service went offline for 5mins. During that short period , 40% of all the web traffic dropped and google lost a whooping $540,000 During that 5mins.

12. Google discovered there was approximately 6 types of email users, and Gmail has been designed to accommodate these 6.
