it's also easy to provide security for banks and other institutions when they cluster together. Don't blame the banks for being together. A well coordinated attack can affect any number of banks if security is not adequate. It's sad that this kind of attack succeeded without a single arrest or even resistance from the police.

Reminds me of 2007 and 2008 in Ijebu-Ode and Ibadan respectively, 2009 in Ibafo and several incidents at Ijebu-Igbo/Ago-Iwoye. We had to resort to heavy mobile police presence at our banks then (with heavy money paid). This is always the case from Sep.-Dec.in South West. I wonder when it'll stop. Innocent souls wasted. I still celebrate 29/12/2009 (about 4days to my introduction ceremony) till this day. God saved me from death, I had guns cocked at me 3diff.times when they robbed my bank but God saved me. An experience I'd neva forget.
May those wonderful souls rest in peace.

it was a well planned attack. Pple said dey were more dan 35 dat came, some took over d streets, sum went 2d police station and some robbed d banks, I guess dey came on a revenge mission. A policeman confronted dem when dey came in 2012 as such d operation wasn't successful. D security situation we av in dis country can't confront armed robbers especially when dey attack towns dat aя̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ nt state capitals, dis is d 3rd consecutive tym dey'll cum. Dey came in 2011, 2012 and nw in 2013. It is a wake up call 4d state government and d local govt too, a strong security shld b put in place.
