well mens has started already! but no thread!

brazil beating belgium 1-0

usa leading japan 1-0

italy leading honduras 3-0

nigeria's game is 12:30pm
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by superstan(m): 12:14pm On Aug 07, 2008
the brazil-belgium game did not really live up to expectation.

although, one has to admit ronaldinho is sheer class. he looked half his normal size and was a thorn in the flesh for the belgians.

pato, lucas, anderson and jo(man city) also gave a 5-star performance against a 10-man belgian side. only 9 of them finished the game.

is nigeria good enough to upset holland??
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by Akolawole(m): 12:56pm On Aug 07, 2008
@Seun and Mukinat

I dont know whats happening.

There a difference between Falcons and Eagles

I dont know who among you keep changing the title.

I nitially i combined both Male and female. Muki adviced i separated it which i did.

Where is the male one now? shocked

Why should this particular one has to be tagged "Falcons"? I say Why?

Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by superstan(m): 1:21pm On Aug 07, 2008
the only guy playing here is osaze odemwingie. others have been shambolic if i must confess.

obinna nsofor just missed a glorious chance now.

the dutch on their own part have been disappointing too. lets hope the 2nd half will be more explosive.
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by lalaboi(m): 1:30pm On Aug 07, 2008
nice placed shot by nsofor!

keeper to d rescue lol!

we got beet this guyz!
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by lalaboi(m): 1:33pm On Aug 07, 2008
half time!

naija o- o netherlands
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by vichel(m): 1:34pm On Aug 07, 2008
Nigeria is playin good, but they shouldn't allow the dutch to dictate the pace, they want to slow it down, that is why its still 0-0. Nigeria should come out with fire power in the second half with hungry midfielders and the dutc will shit in their pants
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by superstan(m): 1:35pm On Aug 07, 2008
whats wrong with osaze?

I thought he was a good header of the ball, he has squandered 2 chances now and headed the ball up in the air instead of aiming at goal.

his technique is too poor.

nice shot from nsofor, 20 yards out and he drilled the shot but the goalie made a smart save parrying it to earn nigeria a corner kick.

osaze wasted it by heading straight up.
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by gabelogan(m): 1:40pm On Aug 07, 2008
osaze has been the star man of the team so far. he is playing with a lot of heart. there is a problem with the team, its obvious there is no creative midfielder. i think osaze has to drop to the midfield a bit and the should bring in anichebe or ogbuke. siasia should revert to the classic nigeian 4-4-2 system.

im still tipping nigeria to win, however the strikers have to utilise their chances.

the dutch are very dangerous on the counter and that drenthe is fast as hell!

up nigeria
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by tosinadeda: 1:44pm On Aug 07, 2008
