Yeah. The USA 1994 world cup jersey too. Someone told me they had to stop wearing em because of the black since black was not part of our National Flag colors

That was a whole nation right there. 130 million people screamed when that went in and street celebrations started. The semi finals was a sort of anti-climax as I remember people celebrated like we had won the tournament.

And as for Amunike's goal against Argentina, that was just it.

I have downloaded it for watching and re-watching anytime this country gets frustrating

I wish we could go back to those glory days.

I think I watched the match on a black and white TV.

Everyone tipped Brazil to win that match and I could remember my neighbour saying that Brazil had won when we were 3-1 down. But that Kanu's goal was classic.

Now, I dont support Nigeria any longer. I dont even care whether they win or lose their matches.

I believe you, just like myself, watched the competition with a black and white TV. What you call black is actually green. It was years after the competition that I watched it on colour TV that I realized it.

I was in ss1 at mayflower school,I will ever remember and tell my grand and great grand children.

I developed interest in football from the USA 94 tournament but I didn't Get to watch much as I watched the Atlanta 96 games. The nights of semi final and final were superb, people took to the street.
It was a great year for Nigeria, I remember the likes of mary Onyali, falilat Ogunkoya, chioma Ajunwa.
I remember audu on the middle of the road screaming "wayo Allah up Nijeriya".

I remember that night

Rewatching that final clip, Amuneke was nt actually off-side though d other players around him were.

Good memories.

Hope we repeat this achievement in Rio Olympics.
