"Of all times"? Heck David the psalmist should make the list! These are just the ones you know. Mine in no particular order, according to genres I favour: 1. Bob Marley- raggae god 2. Michael Jackson- king of pop 3. Celine Dion- soul/blues momma. Unique piercing soulful voice plus she sings in french! 4. The Beatles- rock and roll hall of fame 5. Dolly Parton- country music has seen no finer artiste. Well female singer. Unique voice as well. 6. Tupac Shakur- rap king 7. Enya- folk and ballad... The African greats: 8. Yossou Ndour 9. Fela 10. Yvonne Chaka Chaka The other ones worthy of mentioned but couldnt squeeze into the list: Madonna. Beethoven: Shoulda been in the list but classical music isn't exactly hot now. 1. R. Kelly. Singer-Songwriter-Producer extraordinaire. Nuff said. Favourite album: Chocolate Factory. 2. Fela. The mere fact that a song of his could easily last 30 minutes is insane. Yall should try out 'Confusion Break Bone' CBB. Legend has it that he taught himself how to play the sax in 17 hours. No favourite album. 3. Jay-Z. Rapper, businessman, style icon. Favourite album: The Black Album. 4. Marvin Gaye/Otis Redding. I'm a soul man through and through, no doubt. I could go on and on and on with these guys. They're untouchable. Favourite album: Marvin--Here, My Dear; Otis--The Very Best Of Otis Redding, Volume 1. 5. Ebenezer Obey. Always loved juju bass-lines and this guy's style and story-telling remains unparalleled. No favourite album. 6. 9ice. The new school guy with 'proverbial lyrics'. "I Don't Care," "Photocopy." Favourite album: Tradition. 7. Kirk Franklin. Zany, invigorating, thoughtful. A true musician in and out. Favourite album: The Rebirth. 8. Nat King Cole. The True Voice (sorry Sinatra). This guy made me almost damage my voice. Too damn good. Sexy without being raunchy. 9. Tupac Shakur. Passion. Passion. Passion. This guy is/was one of the most passionate people I've ever known(?). You could feel his passion from continents away. He stayed true to himself even when he spoke rubbish and he did it with passion. RIP. 10. Ayinla Omowura. Aka, Kill 'em with wisdom. This baba was ruthless when it came to telling it like it is.
