Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, details of the Galaxy Camera 2 was unveiled at a pre-CES announcement. According to Samsung the the Galaxy Camera 2 is the sequel to Samsung’s first Android powered camera device, and it is much better and improved.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 features a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM, a 2,000mAh battery, Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and 8GB of internal storage, although Samsung said that only 2.8GB of this will be accessible by the user. It’s also lighter than its predecessor, tipping the scales at 283g compared to 300g of the former.

Samsung has not announced how much the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 will be made available (its predecessor sold for $499 with 3G connectivity inclusive), all other information will be made available at the CES 2014.
