It is now a norm amongst drivers esp those from the South-West to strip themselves to the barest minimum in order to prevent being arrested from Law Enforcement Agents in Lagos.

There was an incident where a bus drivers somewhere in Sagamu area of Lagos stripped his clothes and doused himself with engine oil making his body slippery for the men of the police force to get hold of. Another similar incident happened in Oshodi where an okada rider smeared his naked body with faeces to evade arrest.

Well the trend seems to have shifted based to Abuja currently as a taxi driver stripped himself naked on Friday while resisting arrest by officials of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board and police for trying to pick passengers at Kuchingoro Junction along airport road in Abuja.

Eye witnesses claim that “while the taxi driver was parking his vehicle to pick passengers at the junction, the AEPB officials came out of nowhere and surrounded the taxi driver”

They tried dragging him into their Hilux truck but he resisted, whereby stripping himself naked.

When our journalists arrived at the scene to ask questions, the police officers started shooting into the air to scare them away. On realizing that the driver was adamant and not going to move, the officers allegedly drove away.
