Who said romance was dead! But at least this singleton, who is parading around London with a sign appealing for romance, is taking matters into his own hands. Literally.

Numerous Twitter users have taken pictures of the man – a 39-year-old landscaper called Gerald Abrahams – marching around the capital as he canvasses for applicants

Single Gerald has listed ‘hot’ and ‘brunette’ prominently on his list of desired traits, telling Absolute Radio how he just didn’t really enjoy ‘unproactive’ internet dating.

‘I felt I just needed to do something a bit more imaginative and get out there,’ he said.

He’d apparently mulled the idea over for some time, wrestling with himself over whether he had the guts to do it.

‘You gotta do these things when you think of it otherwise you’ll regret it,’ he added.

‘My friends say I’m a little bit picky. I just need a brunette.’

In one picture taken in Waterloo station by Reddit user bloxie, he says the applicant ‘must like dogs’.

Reddit user B_Underscore posted the below picture alongside the comment: ‘A friend saw this guy wandering around this morning, looking for love in 2014.’

One user replied: ‘He had me up until hotmail
