Well,personally i think must reason for people hiding their age is because they want respect or they wanna fit in with a certain type of group.

A girl i met once was reluctant, because she was really young, but looked BIG.
She neva knew how i wud feel if she told me she is 17,
well am 82. Yes thats how i say my age.
My girl is 86.
As in 19sometin sometin,
Thats my style.

i think people are just too shy or afriad of not getting the right partner.Thats why they keep on hiding their age.as for me i don.t think there's any gain in hiding your age.if u wish to know am 19 and am proud of my age.
